With all the recent Martial Arts World Championships coming about it may have spurred you on to try it out! But what’s with all the governing bodies? WKA, WKC, WAKO, ISKA to name a few. All organisations have their own thing to offer but at a beginners stage you will not know enough about the politics to know who suits you the most! For me I think it should be about the instructor and club you train at. Try lots of lessons and see what’s right for you, then once you find the right place, enjoy! Worry about the politics if you wish to compete or further your progression. Until you have to, don’t give yourself the headache! Mark.
